Relief and pain management in Alliance.

When patients visit the Aultman Alliance Center for Pain Medicine, they need to identify and explain their pain to get accurate treatment. It is important to detail where the pain is, what it feels like, how often it hurts, what makes it go away or what makes it worse. The staff will also need to know what medication or treatments have been tried in the past and if they were successful. Once staff members have an understanding of the situation they can provide treatment such as:

  • medication
  • psychological counseling
  • interventional therapy – epidurals and spinal cord stimulators
  • physical therapy

Common conditions treated for pain management. 

There is a wide range of conditions that the Center for Pain Medicine treats, but some of the most common are:

  • Back and neck pain
  • Neuropathic pain
  • Herniated disks
  • Arthritis
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Migraine headaches
  • Herpes zoster (commonly known as Shingles)
  • Reflex sympathetic dystrophy syndrome (RSD)

Our Center for Pain Medicine in Alliance is open several days a week to patients with recurring pain or pain that has lasted three months or longer.

The Center for Pain Medicine in Alliance follows the same Planetree ideals as the Aultman Alliance Community Hospital and has made an effort to reflect this ideology in a supportive and comforting environment. Features such as a homelike atmosphere with comfortable furnishings, artwork and a compassionate and experienced staff are in line with our Planetree beliefs.

A referral from a physician is required for pain management consultation and most major insurances are accepted.
