Aultman Alliance Cancer Center offers more than exceptional clinical care close to home. Our team of cancer specialists realize that cancer care includes more than expert diagnostic and treatment specialties. The Aultman Alliance Cancer Center is committed to caring for the whole person including their physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. Our team of experts are dedicated to guiding patients and caregivers through their cancer journey and into survivorship or end-of-life care. These specialized support services are specially designed for individuals with cancer.

Meet our cancer patient navigator, Brandy Hahn, RN, BSN, OCN.

Brandy is committed to meeting the complex needs of individuals along with their families and caregivers. She provides support through the diagnosis and into cancer treatment, allowing for one single point of contact for patients and their families.

Brandy serves as a cancer coordinator providing clinical support to the staff and ensuring compliance with Commission on Cancer standards through the treatment process while helping patients and families by providing these services:

Diagnosis and treatment education
Treatment expectations
Timely diagnosis and treatment
Identifying and addressing care and treatment barriers
Facilitating support resources to the patient and family
Emotional support

In addition, Brandy implements community programs, coordinates patient transfers and serves as a family liaison.

Cancer Support Group

The Cancer Support Group is designed to provide support for cancer patients, spouses, survivors and caregivers by discussing various topics related to living with cancer, presented by Aultman Alliance Community Hospital.

Sessions are offered the second Tuesday of each month from 4 - 5:30 p.m., at Southside Church of God, located at 1520 Sawburg Ave. For more information, call 330-823-3230. Child care is available if needed.

Cancer Fitness Program

Regular exercise helps cancer survivors increase independence and quality of life. Aultman Alliance Community Hospital and the University of Mount Union Athletic Training department work collaboratively to provide patients with individualized plans to assist in reclaiming their lives as a survivor.

Each patient will receive a functional assessment, through the AACH Outpatient Therapy department, to measure endurance, balance, flexibility and strength. Following a functional assessment, patients will be assigned a UMU Athletic Training student who will then help customize a fitness program based on the individual's goals and needs.
